About me

Welcome, my name is Natalie Siebel.

I grew up in Downers Grove (western suburb of Chicago) and then moved to Chicago. My husband and I currently reside in Dixon, Illinois.

Why did I start painting?

In 2015,  I carelessly purchased a canvas and acrylic paint when money was very tight.  I never had an interest in painting and was actually intimidated by it for a long time.  I fell in love. I continued painting and it was originally a nice side hobby, but that all changed for me.

February 4th, 2017, our family home in Downers was destroyed in a fire, my father barely survived,  and my sister Robyn, passed away.  She was my best friend growing up, we did everything together, including art. Long story short, I lost myself.

I then found painting as my outlet. I began my first series,  the Robyn Series.  I poured all of my emotion and heart into them.  I then started experimenting with mixed media and styles and went my journey has led me here. I have completed competitions, been reached out for auctions, and was fortunate to hold my own gallery for the month of May, at If These Walls Could Talk in Aurora, IL.

About my work

My style is considered Realism with Surreal and Abstract value. I have used Acrylic as my main medium. I now currently have been expanding my form to Gouache, Oils, Ink, and Pyrography.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THE SUPPORT!
